Portfolio update 2021

For this update I have centered on my latest endeavor, watercolours! Last year I took a course on gardening, and on that course we were supposed to learn the characteristics and names on various plants. A way for me to learn was to draw and paint them! The pieces here are in alphabetical order.

Portfolio update 2012-2020

Welcome to this long overdue update! Since my last attempt was in 2012 this one will show works from then on to 2020. There will be published and unpublished works, hopefully I will be clear and precise to the when and the where. Where I have written a blogpost about the item I will provide a link to said blogpost. Den vita bussen/The White Bus

(2015) During an internship I got involved in an event commemorating The White Buses. They transported inmates from the concentration camps to Scandinavia during the end of WWII. For the documentation of the event I drew this comics page.

Pilgrim

(2012-2013) This is my first attempt at writing and drawing a longer comic. It is available in it's entirety on the web, and the chapters one through four has been published in Homemade Comics. I chose to show you pages 17 A and B of total 31, because they contain a short narrative of their own.

The Shark

(2014) I sent this illustration to Hagabion here in Gothenburg and did not hear if they wanted to use it or not, to my surprise they used it. It's a quick drawing from my sketch book.

Dopboken/The Baptism Book

(2013) This was a project where I was to provide the illustrations. It was supposed to be a fun book about baptism from a child's point of view. Unfortunately we could not get a publishing company interested. In the illustration below the children plays baptism while the little brother skips in the puddles!

Updated Portfolio february 2012

Introduction

Welcome to my updated portfolio! My last portfolio (see earlier update on this blog) was only life drawings. For this update my goal has been to show a wider skill set, I will show character design, illustration and life drawings and an icon! I've scanned smaller works and taken photos of the bigger ones, mainly the life drawings. With a few exceptions all works are produced between June 2011-February 2012. All characters with some exceptions are created by me.

Icon

This is my third icon, and it portrays Saint Luke the Evangelist. Legend has it he was a doctor and that he painted the first icon, he is therefore the patron saint of doctors and artists. For a work-in-progress see my blog!


Character design

These two characters were created to have characters to animate with. My goal was to design characters that would be easy to animate and to draw. The two works that you see above are part of the character sheets.


Illustration

This illustration is for an upcoming book of quotes with/from the character Deathpiglet. The quote is: "More than thousand years of doctoral science and still no cure for cats?!" The character is created by the Swedish comics collective "Nasses Nekromantiker". The illustration is done spring 2011.

Another illustration for the above mentioned quote book, this quote is: "Boy meets girl? How about hare meets combine harvester?" The illustration is done spring 2011.

Here is the sketch for an illustration that I gave to the comics artist. I inked it on a separate piece of paper, the character is Coco the Crazy Clown and is featured in the webcomic: "Biff Zongo". The character is created by Fredrik Sjöholm and Jan Kustfält. The illustration is done autumn 2010.

Life drawings
In selecting these drawings/sketches my focus has been to choose series of drawings instead of compiling separate drawings from separate classes. I've also chosen drawings with different time range.

Demoreel 2011

Here is my demoreel for 2011, it includes animations done between summer 2010-february 2011. No sound, I've done characters, animation, concepts and editing. It's a low rendition.

Life drawings

Here are some drawings from the life drawing classes that I've taken, I've scanned them in color so you will see them as they truly are. I sometimes re-use my rolls of paper, which shows on some of the drawings below (which also has given some funny poses...), where another drawing is shown behind the chosen drawing, I've blurred that part of the picture. On some drawings I've drawn the muscles or the skeleton of the model in blue pencil.
